Community

We're building the first global community dedicated to STR analysis with next-generation sequencing. Soon you'll find tutorials, guides, real case examples, and collaborations created by researchers, labs, and students from around the world.

How you can be part of this

For STR analysis with NGS to be truly useful and accessible, we need a diverse global community: labs, students, educators, developers, and practitioners working together. We're not asking for your data – we care about your experience, your questions, and your ideas.

Share your experience
Tell us how you use STRs in your work: case studies, validation results, teaching materials, or lessons learned from challenging samples.
Contribute tutorials and guides
Help others learn by explaining a pipeline, a marker, a concept, or a tool you wish you had understood earlier.
Join early collaborations
Take part in testing new STRhub features, giving feedback on ideas, or helping shape open standards for STR analysis with NGS.

Early contributors and partner labs

STRhub is being shaped with input from researchers, students, and laboratories that believe in open science and accessible technology. This section will highlight the teams and individuals who are helping to build and validate the platform.

What's coming next

We're working on new resources and tools that will gradually appear in this hub.

LATAM Catalog
Curated allele frequency catalog of Latin American populations.
Case studies from labs
Didactic examples of mixtures, stutter, degradation, and validation results shared by the community.
Pipelines and open tools
Guides to build and connect STR pipelines using STRhub with common analysis tools and scripting languages.
